This ABQ NeighborWoods tree planting is organized by Tree New Mexico in a neighborhood location to be decided and is funded by a City Councilor. It will occur on October 28, 2023. Volunteers plant trees with trained Team Leaders. Tree New Mexico provides instructions, tools, maps to the tree planting location, and basic tree planting guidance. At the location, the hole is dug, the tree to be planted and mulch is nearby, and the resident provides a hose and water.
Please bring water, a hat, sunscreen, and wear closed toe shoes. Please wear your green TNM t-shirt if you have one. We will have some at the Welcome Table, while supplies last.
Tamar will email the address and exact time in one of the neighborhoods to sign-in and meet your team two weeks before the event. This helps us communicate more effectively and limit last minute changes and communication difficulties.
Children 11-years-old and older are welcome to plant with their parent or guardian. Children 15-years-old and older can plant as adults.
