Alan Gross

Born and raised in Albuquerque, Alan has had opportunities to serve in long-term roles with TreeNM, the Corporate Board for the New Mexico Tech CLASS department, the Development Committee for Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity, and BBBS-CNM; with drop-in volunteer service to Albuquerque Wildlife Federation, the Grief Center of NM, Roadrunner Food Bank, and others.

Alan holds degrees from New Mexico Tech and the University of New Mexico and works as a technical lead for a business software and analytics team at Sandia Labs. First discovering TreeNM through the One Albuquerque Volunteers site in 2020, Alan has planted with TreeNM ever since and got involved with the Tree Stewards program in fall of 2023. Alan places emphasis on supporting local organizations that solve problems in urban forestry, rewilding, education, housing and food security, and animal welfare.

After hours, Alan can usually be found spending quality time with family, running with his dog, Maverick, pursuing outdoorsy sports, reading, enjoying music, and occasionally going to a gourmet restaurant.
