For over 30 years Tree New Mexico has been planting trees in the Land of Enchantment and educating the public on the value and necessity of healthy urban forests. We continue to be the premier private, non-profit tree planting organization in NM (and the nation); planting thousands of trees each year and building a high level of understanding and advocacy for the expansion and maintenance of urban forests.

Communications & Social Media Intern - Albuquerque, NM
TreeNM is seeking a Communications & Social Media Intern to increase engagement across our social media platforms, raise awareness of urban forestry, and help more people understand and connect with our work.
The intern will work approximately 10 hours per week through a combination of remote work, office based assignments, and occasional fieldwork. Some tree plantings and community events take place on Saturday mornings. The schedule will be coordinated in advance based on TreeNM’s event calendar and the intern’s availability.
The position may begin as a semester-long internship from September through December 2026. There may be an opportunity to continue through December 2027 based on mutual interest, availability, performance, and organizational needs
